Meet the Artisan

Hello,
My name is Widya Ukkas (like Lydia, but with a 'W', and Ukkas is pronounced like 'Ookkus').
I’m the artisan and founder of WIDYA Designs (Formerly Clay Sweet Clay) where I make beautiful and unique jewelry & accessories. I recently rebranded my business because my passion for artistry has expanded beyond polymer clay, allowing me to explore new mediums while staying true to my love for handmade craftmanship. My new collection of textile art, featuring quilted makeup bags, was released in February 2025 and I plan to launch more sewn goods in the future.
Originally from Indonesia, I moved to Indianapolis when I was 18 to finish my bachelor's degree at IU-Kelley School of Business. Little did I know, my background in Accounting, Finance, and Supply Chain would become the foundation for building a creative small business. 
It all started in 2021 when I discovered polymer clay jewelry through an online video, and it ignited a passion in me. What started as a creative outlet quickly became an obsession—a way to blend my love for unique, cute, and eye-catching designs into a form of wearable art. Now, alongside jewelry, I’ve expanded my collection to include handmade fabric accessories that add charm and style to everyday life. The pieces I create express my passions and style. So, whether you’re into modern-classic, boho-chic, nature-inspired, or vintage coquette aesthetics,  I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
